Why We Built This Site
Missouri provides several public access routes, yet each answers a different question. The Moniteau County Sheriff keeps its arrest, booking, jail, and locally held law-enforcement records. The Circuit Court file shows filed charges, docket events, judgments, and sentences. The Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Division maintains the central repository and MACHS, while state corrections and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry maintain their own records. This site organizes the verified contacts, official search paths, fees, and request steps without treating those separate systems as one database.
What You Will Find Here
- Official source routes: where Moniteau County records begin and which government office can issue a copy
- Record access details: verified request methods, published fees, contact points, and search fields
- State check explanations: how MACHS name searches and IDEMIA fingerprint submissions differ
- Court record help: how to read and search the county's court case files
- Expungement context: where Missouri petitions are filed and why eligibility must be checked count by count
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not an office of Moniteau County or the State of Missouri. It has no affiliation with a court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or other official records
- We cannot submit a Sunshine Law request or an expungement petition for a visitor
- We cannot perform an official background check or retrieve a private case file
- We cannot advise anyone about a charge, warrant, sentence, or legal remedy
- We cannot promise that a government fee, office hour, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from the Moniteau County Sheriff, the responsible court, MSHP CJIS, or another agency that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are operated by outside providers. Each provider controls its service, results, pricing, and data practices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports the site's operation. We do not set the provider's charges or determine which records its search returns.
